تعد هذه الندوة استكمالا للندوة التي عقدتها شبكة المدن الرابطة في شباط/ فبراير والتي ركزت على تقييم المشهد الحالي في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا، مع الاعتراف بالتقدم الذي تحقق والتحديات التي تستمر. من خلال استعراض تجارب ملهمة من تونس والمغرب، تهدف الندوة إلى مناقشة ونقل الدروس المستفادة حول تأثير قانون المحاصصة لتمثيل المرأة في البلديات و القوانين الانتخابية والاستنتاجات حول العوامل التي تؤثر على مسيرة النساء نحو التغير على المستوى المحلي للحوكمة.
This seminar is a follow-up to a seminar held in February by the Association Cities Network that focused on assessing the current landscape in the MENA region, recognising both the progress that has been made and the challenges that persist. With inspiring experiences from Tunisia and Morocco, the seminar aims to discuss and convey lessons learnt on the impact of quota laws for women's representation in municipalities and electoral laws and conclusions on the factors influencing women's march towards change at the local level of governance.
