Since 2018, Hugo Rosero is a PhD student at the Engineering Risk Analysis Group from the Technical University of Munich, Germany. He also is a member of the RIESGOS and RIESGOS 2.0 research projects, funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) under grant Nrs. 03G0876A-H and 03G0905A-J, respectively.
His research topic is risk analysis of lifeline systems subjected to natural hazards, considering cascading effects.
In the presentation he will introduce the concept of cascading effects in infrastructure networks, how to simulate them, and give application examples in South America.
