We will soon meet for our first working group-meeting. We will start out meeting with a short introduction of the working group, followed by an input on gender and housing policies by Maite Arrondo from Spain. After an overview of potential challenges to work on in the field of gender-sensitive urban planning and development, you will decide which challenge you want to focus on. We finish the first meeting with a wrap-up and the definition of our next steps.

Input: Gender matters and the way our cities and housing policies are designed are essential to have a more inclusive living environment. Why is the gender approach relevant to design and manage our cities? How can we integrate the gender dimension and what are the key features we should pay attention to?
