Insight Session on “Showcasing the Amman Urban Observatory” delivered by Mr, Akram Khreisat from the Greater Amman Municipality
Established in 2008, the Amman Urban Observatory (AUO) serves as a comprehensive platform for gathering and analyzing data. On 3rd March 2024, Greater Amman municipality has launched its platform for real-time monitoring of urban indicators, a flagship project enabling planning for sustainability.
The primary objective of the AUO is to generate urban indicators specific to Amman, empowering planners, developers, and scholars across various sectors to make informed decisions. These efforts are aimed at monitoring progress towards both local and global objectives.
