SUDSC II project proposes to set up a Community of Practice (CoP) on the topic of ‘Localised Actions for Urban Resilience’ in the city of Mangaluru by bringing together a diverse range of stakeholders from the city to jointly identify solutions and strategies for implementing urban resilience, by fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange for the city of Mangaluru.
The CoP aims to understand risk as pursued by different stakeholders in the city including government, civil society, private sector; measures adopted for disaster preparedness (structural and non-structural) in recovery, rehabilitation, reconstruction, disaster governance.
A daylong event aims to bring together city stakeholders of Mangaluru, national and international organisations, experts, academic, think tanks, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) working on topics of climate change- induced disasters to share their experiences and to come to a common understanding on the issues and to setup CoP on Urban Resilience for Mangaluru.
